EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy treatment that helps people recover from trauma and other mental health conditions by processing distressing memories. It works by helping the brain reprocess stuck memories, using bilateral stimulation like eye movements or tapping, to reduce their emotional impact. EMDR Association UK and other bodies like the WHO and NICE recognize and endorse its effectiveness for conditions like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and phobias.
I am trained with an EMDR UK accredited training providers (EMDR Academy and The Purple House Clinic) and fully qualified to use EMDR with children and adults.
